100% Local & Private Processing
Gostatus operates completely on your local device. We do not operate external cloud servers, and we never collect or transmit your media contents.
1. Zero Personal Data Collection
Gostatus does NOT collect, harvest, store, transmit, or monetize any personal data. This includes:
- No collection of names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials.
- No tracking of device location, IP addresses, or browser identifier histories.
- No cloud upload or external transmission of watched or saved status photos & videos.
2. Device Storage & Media Access Permissions
To enable status downloading from third-party messaging and media apps (such as WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Instagram, and Snapchat), Gostatus requests standard Android Storage and Media Access permissions.
Permission Scope & Usage:
- Local Status Cache Reading: Accessing local temporary cache folders on your device to display watched status photos and videos.
- Phone Gallery Indexing: Saving selected media into public directories (such as
DCIM/SaveStatusandPictures/SaveStatus). - MediaScanner Connection: Invoking native Android
MediaScannerConnectionso downloaded photos & videos appear in your default Gallery app.
3. Platform Independence & Disclaimer
Gostatus is an independent utility app developed by Gree Web Solutions. Gostatus is NOT affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with:
- WhatsApp Inc. or Meta Platforms, Inc.
- Instagram, LLC.
- Snap Inc. (Snapchat).
4. AI Quotes & Collections Feature
Gostatus includes a collection of 100+ multi-lingual AI status quotes (Love, Motivation, Attitude) available in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Spanish. All quote content is embedded locally inside the application binary and does not send requests to external AI servers.
5. Children's Privacy
Gostatus does not collect any personal information from children or adults alike. The application is completely safe for general audiences of all ages.
